Wash Plant/PTO Operative at our clients site, who are a global leader in pallet pooling.

Staffline are recruiting for

Wash Plant/PTO Operative in West Bromwich.

The hours of work are

Monday to Friday:

- 6am to 2pm

- 2pm to 10pm

Your Time at Work

As a Wash Plant/PTO Operative you will be situated at the bottom of the conveyor with another member of staff. The empty pallets are fed into the machine from the conveyor belt and they will be washed and dried. If any of the pallets still contain inserts, you will be expected to remove and sort for recycling. The pallets will be stacked automatically once they have reached the end.

- Moving pallets in the warehouse area, emptying pallets/ boxes etc of used inserts ready to be washed and go back out to the customers. Wash plant/PTO operative will be removing any remaining sticky labels from the sides and removing any plastic inserts that shouldn't be there. The pallets/boxes are required to be stacked and made secure. This is a physical role and will require bending and use of some tools i.e. scrapers etc.

- Repairing wooden pallets using different types of tools

Please be aware that manual handling knowledge is essential within this area. There will be traces of water in and around the machines, beware of slippery floors.

Capable of recognizing water traces and other surface contaminants, and taking appropriate precautions before starting tasks.

Committed to following all site-specific safety procedures, including proper footwear use and spill reporting.

- Situational Vigilance

Maintains constant attention to surrounding floor conditions while performing physical tasks in a wet industrial setting.
