Summary

Shaw healthcare are seeking an experienced and motivated 2nd line Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the delivery, maintenance, and improvement of our technology infrastructure across a multi-site environment.

The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused approach, and experience working within secure IT environments. You will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure availability, supporting cloud transformation initiatives, and ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant.

Location: St Mellons, Cardiff

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £42,000 PA

Fixed term contract for 12 months with view to become permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting across a multi-site IT environment.

• Support and maintain infrastructure within ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certified environments.

• Assist with Azure migration projects and cloud infrastructure improvements.

• Resolve incidents efficiently while meeting agreed service level targets (SLAs).

• Maintain high standards of patch compliance, backup success, and system availability.

• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.

• Support security compliance initiatives and best practice standards.

• Contribute to infrastructure projects and delivery milestones.

• Provide excellent customer service and end-user support.

Experience and Technical Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have experience working within:

• Multi-site IT environments.

• ISO27001-compliant environments.

• Cyber Essentials Plus-certified environments.

• Azure migration and cloud technology projects.

Desirable Criteria

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).

• Microsoft 365 Administrator certification.

• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator certification.

• Fortinet NSE / FCP certifications.

• Sophos Certified Engineer certification.
