Summary

Vehicle Inspector Location: Rugby

Salary: £41,900 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Basis: Self-Employed

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Inspector to join a busy used car preparation centre in Rugby. Working within a fast-paced automotive environment, the successful Vehicle Inspector will be responsible for assessing vehicle condition, identifying defects and ensuring all vehicles meet the highest standards before retail sale.

This role is ideal for a knowledgeable Vehicle Inspector with strong automotive experience and a keen eye for detail. The successful Vehicle Inspector will work closely with workshop and preparation teams to ensure vehicles are accurately assessed and prepared efficiently.

As a Vehicle Inspector, you will conduct detailed inspections on a wide range of used vehicles, identifying mechanical, cosmetic and safety-related issues while maintaining accurate records of all findings.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out comprehensive inspections on used vehicles.

- Identify mechanical, cosmetic and safety-related defects.

- Complete detailed and accurate inspection reports.

- Liaise with workshop teams regarding required repairs and preparation work.

- Ensure vehicles meet quality and retail standards before sale.

- Prioritise workload to support vehicle throughput targets.

- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Vehicle Inspector, Vehicle Technician or similar automotive role.

- Strong knowledge of used vehicle standards and preparation processes.

- Ability to identify faults and assess vehicle condition accurately.

- Excellent organisational and communication skills.

- Full UK Driving Licence.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
