Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our client's prestigious independent automotive dealership located in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The ideal individual will have a strong background in automotive accounting, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach.

Duties of the Dealership Accountant:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department

- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time

- Process payroll for all employees

- Process sales and purchase invoices

- Maintain accurate financial records ensuring compliance with company procedures

- Support the business with general accounting and financial administration duties

Requirements of the Dealership Accountant:

- Proven experience within an automotive accounts role or similar

- Relevant accountancy qualifications

- Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software

- Strong knowledge of VAT returns and payroll processes

- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills

- Good IT and financial administration skills as the Dealership Accountant

- A professional, reliable, and proactive attitude
