Summary

What you will do: Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards). Undertake examinations in line with the patient referrals adhering to organisational guidelines. Manage a safe, effective, caring and well led environment responsive to our patients, customer, and staff requirements. Provide training and support for trainee Sonographers in all areas of scanning and reporting. Support the Operational Management Team with operational queries and cover clinics as a Sonographer as required. Investigate and respond to service user complaints as appropriate and as directed by management. Investigate and manage incidents reported through our incident reporting system as appropriate and as directed by management. Provide second opinions upon request and review reports for 2nd reporting as required. Direct and supervise the workload of the sonographers under your training and supervision. Undertaking a range of audit assignments, involving all aspects of Ultrasound, following consultation with the Consultant Radiologist, Clinical Lead and Head of Service Delivery.
