Summary

The Trust is looking to appoint a substantive Consultant General Radiologist with a specialist interest in Breast Symptomatic Imaging. The job plan is varied and includes one stop breast clinic, booked US/Stereo/Vacuum list, symptomatic breast reporting, MDT participation, and general imaging sessions. There is adequate SPA allowance for continuous professional development, audit, and the opportunity to develop managerial and teaching experience. Applicants must hold a CCT in Radiology, be on the GMC Specialty Register, or be within six months of obtaining their CCT. The ideal candidate will have possess advanced sub-specialist training in breast radiology. While the primary locations for this position are Charing Cross and St Marys Hospitals, this may change based on the ongoing Trust site and clinical strategy review. The successful applicant will work within the division of Womens, cardiac, clinical support and sexual health services and will be expected to participate in the management of rapid access and scan turnaround times, along with efficient and safe management of inpatient and emergency workloads. The successful candidate will also actively engage in trainee supervision and maintain close collaboration with clinical staff.
