The purpose of this role will include ensuring the Public Service Reform Leadership, which includes representatives from Orkney Islands Council, NHS Orkney and the Integration Joint Board, are fully supported on all matters relating to Public Service Reform in Orkney.
Public Service Reform is about improving how local services work together to deliver better outcomes for people in Orkney. This work aims to explore how Orkney Islands Council and NHS Orkney can develop more joined-up ways of delivering services that make a real difference locally, supported by an evolving national and local policy landscape.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the work of the Orkney Public Service Reform Steering Group, which is driving this agenda forward. Strong communication skills are important - you’ll help turn complex information, including policy context where needed, into clear, straightforward updates and materials that keep people informed and engaged.
This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll help organise meetings and events, support engagement with communities and partners, and assist in keeping projects running smoothly and on track. You’ll also contribute to communications and ensure that work remains focused on what matters most to local people.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team. You should be confident using IT, with a good standard of written English and a strong eye for detail.
