Summary

To be responsible for receiving and booking in of sterile and non-sterile implants. To include using the Bluespier system to note any items that have been sent in error or any that are missing and notify the lead of the Implant Room. To receipt in goods for other departments within theatres and ensure the correct person receives the order To put the implants in their correct location once they have been booked in. To cross reference any deliveries with the Oracle book to ensure everything has been receipted in. This would include dealing with other departments within theatre. To be responsible for the daily checking of the implant forms against the Bluespier patient event, noting any discrepancies with the implant form and to notify the implant lead/supervisor of any issues that could directly affect stock levels or patient safety. Using the Oracle system place orders and update Bluespier with corresponding requisition numbers and order numbers to ensure the items can be booked in correctly To help delivery drivers collect and drop off specialised loan sets that are required for surgery. Using own judgment to not let anything be taken unless all paperwork from the companies and us is correct. To participate in stock takes which are carried out monthly, reporting back to the implant room lead after each one is carried out. Responsible for checking the theatre Implant trollies are stocked up and labelled correctly ready for surgery the next day reporting anything that is missing to the Implant room Lead The post holder would be expected to liaise closely with the company reps giving them case times and assistance in stocking and supporting the cases in theatre. The post holder would be expected to deal daily with stressful conversations if stock is missing, following processes to find an answer. To liaise with other local and nonlocal hospitals in the event that we run out of something that is needed urgently. The post holder would need good communication skills and be able to use their own judgement on day to day tasks.
