Location: Grantham Lincolnshire

Employment type: Full-time / 40 Hours Per Week

Working Hours: (Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available)

About the role… 

To act in the capacity of a Cable Jointer Mate to support the Jointer (craftsman) with electrical installations/jointing activities and Field Manager with Job readiness activities – Materials etc. Assist in coordination of electrical works to ensure full compliance with DNO & Ipsum Powers Policies and Procedures

As a Cable Jointers Mate you will… 

Supporting the work on development sites and the public highway

Understanding utility plans

Assisting with the cable jointing and network energisation activities

Assistance with Connections to substations

Work with the general public.

The role is to be support cable jointers with the installation of electrical connections, working with an assistant.

Preparation and use of tools and machinery, preparation of work sites for various works

Assistance highlighting any issues which may affect compliance

Cable laying

About you… 

Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card

Hold a valid First Aid qualification

DNO operational Authorisation

A good understanding of sustainability and health and safety.

Be Conversant with testing procedures.

A clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel and work in different locations.

You also need to be flexible to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather

Knowledge of relevant DNO Policies and Procedures
