Community Learning and Development Worker

(17.5 hours per week)

Based within an Adult and Family Learning Centre, this post will provide dedicated Adult and Family Learning service delivery as part of the Council’s Connected Communities team – a great opportunity to develop your career as a Community Learning and Development professional.

We are looking for CLD worker who will be employed to support community-based activities throughout the year. You will be supporting our communities to be strong, with a voice and the capacity to shape and build on strengths and assets.

It is essential that you have experience in working with people; strong communication skills; positive and flexible approach to work, and open to learning new skills.

A key part of this role will be delivering Adult and Family Learning classes in a range of areas including: Literacies, ESOL, IT, Personal Development and Family Learning and it is essential that you have experience in at least one of these areas.

This role will suit an organised individual with experience of working with adults or families in a community setting. You will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, able to work with a range of groups and individuals in a range of community settings and have an ability to evaluate and review. An ability to work as part of a team is also essential.
