The Role
As
Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day clinical management of the nursing home while ensuring residents receive outstanding, person-centred nursing care.
You will lead and motivate the nursing team, oversee clinical governance, ensure CQC compliance and help drive continuous improvements across the service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the clinical team and provide strong nursing leadership.
• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care.
• Support the Home Manager with the operational management of the service.
• Ensure compliance with
CQC,
NMC and safeguarding standards.
• Complete clinical audits and quality assurance checks.
• Oversee medication management and medicines optimisation.
• Review and update person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
• Supervise, mentor and support Registered Nurses and Care Staff.
• Manage clinical incidents and promote best practice.
• Liaise with GPs, hospitals, families and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Promote high standards of dementia, nursing and elderly care.
Requirements
To be considered, you will have:
•
Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
•
Valid NMC PIN (Essential)
• Previous experience as a
Clinical Lead,
Deputy Manager,
Senior Nurse,
Unit Manager or
Clinical Nurse Manager
• Experience working within a
nursing home,
care home,
elderly care,
dementia care or
complex care setting
• Strong knowledge of
CQC regulations, clinical governance and medication management
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care
