Summary

Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible by recognising the limits of the Health Care Assistant role and working closely with Registered Nurses. Contributing to the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures when implementing care plans. Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people when contributing to the implementation and evaluation of care plans

Contribute to the people using our services feeling respected and empowered to make decisions about their health and wellbeing. A duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk of abuse. all duties must be carried out in accordance with the Trust hand hygiene and infection control policies and procedures. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses.Safeguarding people by recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse but also recognising their own limits and asking for help and escalate concerns when necessary. Escalating safety concerns and by doing so acting as effective advocates for those who use our services. Being open and transparent about their own practice. Identifying areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made. Maintaining accurate, legible, comprehensive records

Maintaining compliance with their mandatory training requirement. Communicating well with all members of the team

Come and join the Home1st inpatient intermediate care team atWindsor Intermediate Care Unit,19-bedded unitin Bletchley. Our purpose is to provide an enhanced Intermediate Care,rehabilitationandsub-acuteservicepredominately forthe older person. Preventing acute hospital admissions andfacilitatingearly discharge are our primary goals. 

 

This post offers the opportunity to further developyouknowledge andskills  ina nurse led environment. You should have a genuine interest in the care of the older person and rehabilitation. 

You will need excellent communication skills and a desire to help develop practice and services that make a real difference to service users.
