Barnet to recruit a motivated
Graduate Learning Support Assistant for a September 2026 start.
In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in helping students overcome learning challenges, working closely with teachers and the school's experienced inclusion team to provide targeted academic and pastoral support.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
• Providing tailored one-to-one and small-group learning sessions.
• Supporting students with a variety of additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
• Assisting classroom teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation.
• Modifying resources and activities to ensure all learners can access the curriculum.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
• Contributing to an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
• Recording student progress and sharing observations with teaching staff.
• Offering pastoral guidance and acting as a positive, approachable role model.
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you should have:
• A
Bachelor's degree with at least a 2:1 classification in Psychology or a core academic subject such as English, Maths, Science, or Humanities.
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
• The ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
• Experience supporting children or young people is beneficial but not a requirement.
