An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the  Community Team, supporting the Havant Place Partnership’s ambition to make

physical activity an everyday possibility for all our residents. 

The role provides exemplary administration and co-ordination support for Place Partnership activity, including stakeholder events

and test and learn projects. 

You will respond to enquiries from Place Partnership members, perform administration tasks and communicate effectively with a

diverse range of stakeholders through a range of channels.

The support officer role will contribute in positively impacting people’s behaviours, enabling them to be more active.

What you’ll be doing

You will work closely with the Place Partnership co-ordinator and board members to deliver events and meet the Place Partnership’s

administrative requirements.

You will work with the Place Partnership Co-ordinator and board members to undertake administrative tasks to support the delivery

of Place Partnership activities.  You will make a positive difference by providing clear communication with stakeholders and

recording data.

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) 

As part of Local Government Reorganisation, current plans will see us combine with Portsmouth City Council and the district and

borough councils of Fareham, Gosport and parts of East Hampshire and Winchester district councils to form a new, larger unitary

authority for South East Hampshire. 

We are working towards an implementation date of 1 April 2028, known as vesting day, subject to Parliamentary approval.   Until

then, we remain focused on maintaining continuity, supporting our workforce, and continuing to deliver excellent services to our

residents throughout the transition to the new unitary authority.
