Salary: £16.00 - £17.00+ per hour (DOE)

Shift: Afternoon Shift – 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they're looking to recruit an experienced

Waterjet / Laser Machine Setter Operator to join their manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with modern cutting technology in a business that continually invests in advanced machinery, high-quality manufacturing processes and employee development.

The Role

As a Waterjet / Laser Machine Setter Operator, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate waterjet and laser cutting machinery.

• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment including verniers and tape measures.

• Identify defects or production issues and report them promptly.

• Complete production documentation accurately.

• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance checks.

• Ensure materials are correctly identified and handled throughout production.

• Work to production schedules while meeting quality and output targets.

• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the work area.

• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Previous experience operating

Waterjet, Laser, CNC or similar manufacturing machinery.

• Experience setting machines and making routine adjustments.

• The ability to read engineering drawings (desirable).

• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and tape measures.

• Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

• A reliable and dependable work ethic.
