We're working with a specialist all-through school in King's Lynn to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. - Support pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom.

- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and wellbeing.

- Assist with the delivery of personalised learning activities and interventions.

- Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.

- Help pupils successfully manage transitions throughout the school day.

- Use positive behaviour support strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.

- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team.

- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.

- Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

- Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or additional needs.

- Understands the barriers to learning experienced by pupils with SEMH.

- Has experience in behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, education, or a similar setting.

- Builds positive relationships through patience, consistency, and empathy.

- Remains calm and resilient when supporting pupils through challenging situations.

- Works collaboratively as part of a wider team.

- Is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people.
