Summary

A Vacancy at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

1.    To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate specialist clinical mental health pharmacy services within the R&A hub.

2.    To provide expert pharmaceutical advice and liaison to the R&A hub, GPs, practice pharmacists, other healthcare professionals (HCPs), and patients and carers.

3.    To lead on the non-medical prescribing pathway and act as an independent prescriber of medication, ensuring that drug therapy is evidence based, safe, cost effective and appropriate to the individual patient.

To provide training to the R&A hub, GPs and other HCPs within primary care around the use of psychotropic medicines.

1.    To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate specialist clinical mental health pharmacy services within the R&A hub.

2.    To provide expert pharmaceutical advice and liaison to the R&A hub, GPs, practice pharmacists, other healthcare professionals (HCPs), and patients and carers.

3.    To attend MDT meetings with the R&A hub and provide a link between primary care and CMHTs.

4.    To provide leadership for the non-medical prescribing pathway within the R&A hub.

5.    To act as an independent prescriber of medication.

6.    To ensure that drug therapy is evidence based, safe, cost effective and appropriate to the individual patient.

7.    To provide training to the R&A hub, GPs and other HCPs within primary care around the use of psychotropic medicines.

8.    Develop pathways and the process of prescribing and monitoring of medicines within the R&A hub.
