Summary
A lovely family based in Shepherd’s Bush, London, is seeking an Afterschool Nanny to care for their two school-aged children. The ideal candidate will speak fluent English, and Italian would be a bonus. Someone reliable, organised, proactive, and confident who can support school-aged children with their after-school routine would be ideal for this role. The nanny will be responsible for school pick-ups, helping with homework, preparing after-school snacks and evening meals for the children, and supporting their daily routine. The school is around a 15 to 20-minute walk from the home, and pick-up will usually be around 15:30 to 16:30, depending on the children’s clubs. The role will also include light housekeeping related to the children, organising their belongings, and occasional babysitting. The family has a friendly Beagle mix, so someone dog-friendly and happy to help with occasional walks would be ideal. A driver is not required for this role.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: During school term, Tuesday to Thursday, 13:30 to 18:30. During school holidays, Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 18:30.
Duties include:
caring for two children, aged 5 and 8 years old
picking the children up from school
walking 15 to 20 minutes from school to home
supporting the children’s after-school routine
helping with homework
supporting the children’s educational growth
ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and development
preparing after-school snacks
cooking evening meals and dinners for the children
helping with family cooking when required
organising the children’s belongings
carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the children
maintaining consistent daily routines
providing occasional babysitting
helping with occasional dog walks
