HomeHops is a new online marketplace connecting customers throughout the UK with self-employed cleaners and independent cleaning businesses in their local area.

We are inviting cleaners and established cleaning businesses across the United Kingdom to register now, create their profiles and complete the required verification before HomeHops launches on Friday 14 August 2026.

As an independent service provider, you choose:

• The cleaning services you provide

• The towns, cities and postcode areas you cover

• Your working days and availability

• The prices customers pay

• Which suitable bookings you wish to undertake

You can set rates of £18–£25 per hour or more. HomeHops does not impose an upper rate, although customers choose whom to book based on each provider’s prices, services, location, availability and profile.

There is no HomeHops registration fee, subscription charge, commission or platform service fee for cleaners. Applicable Stripe payment-processing charges will be deducted from payments.

Services may include:

• Regular domestic cleaning

• One-off cleaning

• Deep cleaning

• End-of-tenancy cleaning

• Ironing

• Laundry services

Responsibilities

• Provide professional cleaning services at customer properties

• Supply your own cleaning products, materials and equipment

• Travel to bookings within the areas you choose to cover

• Attend accepted bookings at the agreed date and time

• Complete the customer’s requested work professionally

• Communicate reliably and respectfully with customers

• Manage your services, prices, availability and coverage areas

• Follow appropriate health, safety and hygiene practices

Requirements

• Valid identification

• Evidence that you are permitted to undertake self-employed work in the UK

• A smartphone with internet access

• Your own cleaning products and equipment

• The ability to travel to customer properties

• A reliable, professional and customer-focused approach

Previous cleaning experience or experience operating a cleaning business is preferred.

Public liability insurance is recommended. Cleaners and cleaning businesses are responsible for deciding what insurance they require for the services they provide.

Important information

This is a self-employed business opportunity, not an employed or salaried position. HomeHops cannot guarantee a minimum number of customers, bookings, working hours or earnings. Booking availability will depend on customer demand in the areas you select, as well as your services, prices, availability and profile.

You will be responsible for your own Income Tax, National Insurance, insurance, travel, products, equipment and other business expenses. Employee benefits such as holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions and guaranteed hours are not provided.
