Summary

Position Summary:

To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of site roads, yards, operational areas, and surrounding environments by operating road sweeping equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company, customer, and health and safety requirements.

Main Role Responsibilities:

• Receive instructions from the Contract Manager regarding daily tasks and carry them out efficiently in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

• Operate road sweeping vehicles and associated equipment safely, competently, and in accordance with training and site rules.

• Sweep roads, hardstanding areas, loading zones, car parks, and designated operational areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Remove debris, dust, waste materials, and spillages from site roadways and designated areas.

• Conduct pre-use inspections and daily vehicle checks, reporting defects immediately through the approved reporting system.

• Complete all required documentation, vehicle checks, and operational records accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintain the sweeper vehicle in a clean and presentable condition, including regular washing and housekeeping duties.

• Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, or damage involving vehicles, equipment, personnel, or third parties immediately to management.

• Assist with general site cleaning duties, litter picking, and housekeeping activities as required.

• Ensure all waste is managed and disposed of in accordance with environmental and customer requirements.

• Maintain effective communication with site personnel and management during shifts and handovers.

• Ensure compliance with all company procedures, site rules, and customer requirements.

• Operate equipment safely and competently whilst ensuring the correct PPE is worn at all times.

• Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.

• Assist with the general operation of the contract as required.

• You must adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to those specified in the Employee Handbook, H&S Policy, EMS System, IMS System and Management Guide.

• You must remain aware at all times of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety and for the Health and Safety of your colleagues and others who may be affected by your work activities.
