THE ROLE
As a Diagnostic Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs across both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest manufacturer standards.
Key responsibilities include:
·Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
·Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues
·Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on cars and LCVs
·Supporting other technicians with technical guidance and fault diagnosis
·Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required
·Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and health & safety regulations
·Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
·Delivering first-time fix quality and outstanding customer satisfaction
ABOUT YOU
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
·NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
·A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician working on both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs)
·Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
·Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge
·MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential
·Ownership of your own tools and toolbox
·A positive attitude with the ability to support and mentor other technicians
·Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
·Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
