Summary

The post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership to the Specialist Screening Practitioners (SSPs) within the Mersey & North Cheshire Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient services for both the FIT abnormal, surveillance and Lynch syndrome elements of the programme within the resources available. The post holder, in liaison with the Lead SSP, will be responsible for the day to day management of the SSP team. They will also lead on the training and development of the SSPs to ensure the provision of specialist, expert knowledge to clinical colleagues, patients and carers/relatives. The post holder will be able to prioritise their own work load and be responsible for the planning of the SSP workload ensuring service needs are met. They will need to work independently and as part of a multi- professional team, communicate effectively at all levels and influence change and development of the service.
