Due to continued growth, we are seeking a professional and reliable Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Operative to join our monitoring team.

Role Overview

As an Alarm Receiving Centre Operative, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to alarm activations, CCTV events, fire signals, lone worker alerts, and other monitored services. You will play a critical role in protecting our customers' people, property, and assets by ensuring all alarm signals are handled accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and customer instructions.

The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor and respond to alarm activations from intruder, fire, CCTV, access control, and lone worker systems.

* Process incoming alarm signals in accordance with customer instructions, company procedures, and industry standards.

* Contact keyholders, emergency services, customers, and response personnel as required.

* Maintain accurate records of all alarm activations, actions taken, and communications.

* Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to live and recorded events.

* Escalate incidents to supervisors or management when necessary.

* Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls professionally and efficiently.

* Monitor system health and identify faults, communication failures, or unusual activity.

* Ensure compliance with NSI Gold requirements, BS 5979, BS 8591, BS EN 50518, GDPR, and company policies.

* Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and security at all times.

* Support business continuity procedures during incidents or system outages.

* Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of service.
