SEND Teacher
Location: South East London
Pay: £150+ per day, based on experience
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term
TeacherActive are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced
SEND Teacher to work within a specialist SEND setting in South East London.
The successful teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of complex needs. This role would suit someone who is confident adapting learning to meet individual EHCP targets and supporting pupils with communication, sensory and emotional needs.
The role will include:
Planning and delivering personalised lessons
Supporting pupils with complex SEND needs
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists and wider school staff
Creating a structured, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress and supporting EHCP outcomes
The ideal candidate will have:
QTS or a relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching pupils with SEND
Strong behaviour management skills
A flexible, nurturing and creative teaching approach
A passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential
A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
