This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a setting where

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential for this role. However, applicants

The Role:

As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will:

  • Support children with SEMH needs to re-engage with learning and achieve their individual goals.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
  • Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour positively.
  • Adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and pastoral staff to provide the best outcomes for every pupil.
  • Assess, monitor and celebrate pupil progress both academically and personally.
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom where every child can thrive.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Extensive experience working with primary-aged pupils with

      SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour.

    • Experience leading lessons or teaching classes independently.
    • QTS is desirable but not essential.

    • Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
    • A calm, resilient and empathetic approach.
    • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children to achieve their full potential.
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
    • In Return, TeacherActive Offers:

      • Competitive rates of pay.
      • A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
      • Access to free CPD and professional development opportunities.
      • Flexible payment options.
      • The opportunity to secure a long-term or permanent role within a rewarding specialist setting.
      • If you're an experienced educator looking to make a real difference within a

Primary SEMH school, we'd love to hear from you.
