Primary Teaching Assistants to support a variety of mainstream primary schools throughout Leeds. Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, HLTA or looking to gain more classroom experience, we have flexible opportunities to suit you.
Working as a
Primary Teaching Assistant with TeacherActive gives you the opportunity to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting class teachers, delivering interventions, providing 1:1 support and helping pupils reach their full potential. Bookings range from day-to-day supply to long-term placements, with permanent opportunities also available.
The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:
•
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
•
Previous experience supporting pupils in a UK primary school
•
A positive, patient and adaptable approach
•
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
•
The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
•
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
