Contract: Full-Time
Pay: £108-£115 per day
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Maidstone to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that is committed to providing high-quality education while placing pupil wellbeing at the heart of everything it does. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting children with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Providing one-to-one support and delivering small group interventions
- Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex needs, and learning disabilities
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Adapting learning resources to meet individual learning needs and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
- Supporting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and communication development
- Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and wider support staff
- Encouraging pupils' independence, confidence, and social development
We're looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.:
- Previous experience working within education, SEND support, care, or a similar support role
- Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or other complex needs (desirable)
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- The right to work in the UK
