An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our dynamic Oral and Maxillofacial (OMF) team within one of the region's largest Acute NHS Trusts.
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will work at an advanced level of practice across the four pillars of:
Clinical Practice
Leadership and Management
Education and Training
Research, Audit and Quality Improvement
You will be working as part of the Head and Neck services to provide expert clinical assessment and management for patients with OMF conditions, independently undertake diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within your scope of practice, and contribute to the ongoing development of innovative services.
Along with this you will also work as part of the the Surgical ACP team as a whole to support acute admissions to the hospital and provide expert knowledge to the rotational medical staff to the department inside core hours and on weekends.
The role will encompass outpatient clinics, urgent referrals, specialist assessment, and multidisciplinary working across the wider organisation.

The successful candidate will:
Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and formulate differential diagnoses.
Independently manage patients presenting with a range of OMF conditions.
Request, interpret and act upon diagnostic investigations.
Prescribe safely and effectively (where qualified as an independent prescriber).
Perform specialist procedures within competency and scope of practice.
Lead and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Provide expert advice and support to medical, nursing and allied health professional colleagues.
Participate in education, mentorship and clinical supervision.
Contribute to audit, research and quality improvement activities.
Support the development of advanced practice within the Trust.
Experience/Skills required:
Completion of a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice
Expertise working with a range of OMF conditions
Experience managing a range of surgical conditions as part of the wider surgical team.
Experience managing an independent clinic
