If you thrive in an energetic environment, which is rich in culture and diversity, then please consider the next stage of your career to be working within our Maternity Unit. We take great pride in promoting midwifery by delivering holistic woman-cantered care to our diverse local community. The enthusiastic midwifery and obstetric teams work together with our support staff to meet the specific needs of women who come from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.

We have vacancies for Maternity Support Workers, Band 3 in:

Postnatal and Antenatal Maternity clinical areas (Both Inpatient and Outpatient)

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and professional individuals who already have experience working in maternity care. Your clinical skills and knowledge should also include phlebotomy, catheter removal, infection control procedures, manual handling and documentation.

We are seeking enthusiastic applicants who wish to walk this journey with us and guide our women through one of the most precious times in their lives.

If you have a polite, kind, friendly and professional approach, we welcome your application.

Your role will develop your clinical knowledge throughout the maternity care pathway, assisting new mothers throughout the antenatal period to postnatal care and breastfeeding support.

You will work under the guidance and direction of midwifery staff, undertaking specific tasks under indirect supervision or independently. You will have experience in supporting other staff members and teaching junior staff.

You will maintain effective communications and empathic, caring relationships with patients, staff and visitors to promote a systematic, holistic approach to Maternity care.
