Summary
About the Role:
We are a specialist home-to-school transport company providing safe journeys for children, including many with autism and other disabilities.
We are looking for a sharp, resilient and highly organised Transport Administrator to join our busy team.
This is a high-pressure, fast-moving role. We expect you to think and move fast, juggle multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
The job involves a constant high volume of work and is not a slow-paced position. It can feel overwhelming at first, especially with the daily demands of onboarding new staff alongside all other duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing complex daily transport schedules and calendars
Handling a high volume of phone calls, emails and enquiries from schools and parents
Processing and looking after large amounts of paperwork and documentation
Onboarding new staff (mainly drivers) on a daily basis – including induction, paperwork, system training and compliance checks
Quickly identifying problems, spotting hidden details that could be overlooked, and resolving issues
Coordinating last-minute changes and disruptions while understanding the significant impact these can have on children with additional needs
Liaising with schools, drivers, parents and local authorities
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills (this is critical)
Excellent spoken and written English with clear communication skills
Highly proficient with calendars, emails, spreadsheets and admin systems
Ability to think and move fast in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Experience or confidence in onboarding and training new staff
Flexible and available for extra hours and short notice
Clean DBS check (or willing to obtain one) and no criminal record
Full right to work in the UK
