Summary

Edinburgh College is looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Learning Engagement Officer (LEO), specifically assigned to the Routes into Education or Employment courses at Sighthill and Milton Road campuses.

Our Routes into Education or Employment Team delivers a range of courses to students with Additional Support Needs and barriers to learning, from SCQF Levels 1 to 4. This LEO position supports students with their learning and studies through the delivery of instructional materials on a variety of subjects such as employability skills, health and wellness, financial literacy, core skills, independent living skills, and outdoor education.

The successful candidate will have a degree or relevant qualification with substantial experience in a relevant discipline, have experience of working with people with ASD/additional support needs in community, schools or further education settings, be committed to the principles of inclusion and have experience of delivering training. Person-centred working with excellent interpersonal, communication and numeric skills are also essential.
