Account Manager – Birmingham – £Basic Salary + Bonus (On Target) + Company Car

My client is an established and successful design and manufacturing company looking to add a proven Account Manager to their business.

They require a highly skilled Key Account Manager, who can lead by example and build great relationships with a portfolio of existing customers. The successful candidate must be someone who possesses great organisational skills, with a natural flair for communication. The ideal account manager must be able to juggle multiple high-profile existing clients, whilst creating and managing new prospects and projects, without compromising on the quality or integrity of the services provided. Through effective communication and coordination with internal teams, the successful candidate will meet client expectations, increase satisfaction and drives growth through upselling and supporting strategic relationships.

You will: -

• Build, foster and maintain long-term and high-quality relationships with portfolio of important existing clients.

• Improve client satisfaction, through consistent and effective communication and clarity of goals and expectations.

• Meet annual product revenue growth targets.

o Identifying opportunities for growth in existing accounts.

o Create and win New Business pipeline from new customers.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks: -

• Main day to day point of contact for existing Clients within portfolio.

• Arrange and attend meetings and progress calls with the portfolio accounts, majority of meetings outside UK will be via online meetings, however some travel, predominantly European will be required.

• Highlight areas where additional relationships with clients can be developed to support growth.

• Develop meaningful working relationships with the designated clients.

• Communicate with clients and understand their needs.

• Drive growth by identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities and supporting strategic planning to strengthen client relationships.

• Negotiations with clients to find the balance of expectations and what the company can deliver.

• Meeting sales targets by developing new business opportunities.

• Collaborating with internal teams (e.g. Production, Engineering, Finance & Commercial) to coordinate service delivery or product fulfilment.

• Tracking performance metrics (KPIs) and preparing performance reports & updates.

• Resolving client issues, addressing concerns or complaints and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
