Summary

About me

I am a happy, cheeky 8-year-old autistic boy living in Cheshunt. I am non

verbal and communicate mainly by taking an adult's hand and leading them

to what I want or need. I enjoy tickles, affection, sensory play, being

outdoors and taking part in activities in my local community.

I am very sensory-seeking and need close supervision as I have limited

awareness of danger and do not always recognise risks around me.

Although I am continent and will usually take myself to the toilet, I may still

require support and supervision to ensure I remain safe.

At times, if I become frustrated or am unable to communicate what I want, I

can become distressed. This may result in crying, pinching and,

occasionally, biting. I need calm, patient adults who can understand my

cues, reduce demands when I am overwhelmed and help me regulate my

emotions safely.
