Summary

An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Preston, Lancashire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This is a specialist independent mental health facility providing assessment, treatment, and ongoing care for individuals experiencing acute mental health conditions and eating disorders

As a Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out detailed psychiatric assessments to identify eating disorders and establish suitable treatment plans

• Creating personalised care plans based on each patient's individual clinical needs and recovery goals

• Prescribing and reviewing psychiatric medication where appropriate to manage mental health conditions alongside eating disorders

• Collaborating with psychologists, dietitians, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care

• Providing guidance and support to patients and their families while promoting greater understanding of eating disorders and helping to reduce stigma

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred psychiatric assessment and treatment, with a strong focus on achieving the best outcomes for patients

• Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, building positive professional relationships to deliver coordinated and effective care

• Extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs within acute and inpatient psychiatric services

• Demonstrated ability to lead clinical decision-making at consultant level, managing complex cases while providing leadership and supervision to colleagues

• Committed to driving service development and quality improvement, with enthusiasm for contributing to innovative models of care in evolving healthcare environments

**To be considered for this position you must hold a CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry**

The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £110,000 - £120,000 per annum - Pay frequency is monthly. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
