Why this role would be great for you

Emergency Accommodation is a dynamic growing department of You Matter that works alongside the Housing Network is providing housing and Support to families and single people who are all experiencing homelessness. The aim of the service is to enable all tenants to have a move-on into their own permanent and settled home away from support services.

Mainly based from the You matter head office, but with lots of work in the community, your role will be to provide operational leadership support to the Emergency Accommodation manager and lead on managing the service when needed. You will support the Service Manager to carry out their duties in delivering a service of excellence. The aim of your role will be to ensure that all team members feel connected to the aims of the service and that the Critical Time intervention model is imbedded into day-to-day operations.

What your week may look like

Maintain excellent communication with the Emergency Accommodation and wider leadership team.

Effectively communicate with direct reports and hold supervision as per relational policy

Creatively support on managing the referral process and ensuring that move on targets are met

Support the manager to lead on the delivery of a forward-thinking support service that proactively meets the needs of those that live within the service.

Work alongside the manager to ensure that the service meets its contractual obligations and agreed KPI targets

Prepare for both internal and external inspections as required.

Identify any training needs within the support team and address these alongside the L and D department.

Actively lead on helping to manage the Rota and ensuring that the service can fully operate while managing any staff absences/AL.

To provide information on request that will help compile and collate monthly reports on KPI’s

To give informed opinions and make recommendations regarding support, housing and HR issues that impact the service, Service Users and staff team.

commit to the 6-month CAT training course to ensure that this can take place.
