Summary
HGV 1 lorry driver. The job entails trailers being picked up from Immingham docks, usually for Scotland, sometimes full loads but more likely to be 3 or 4 drops, collecting a reload or changing trailers at our customer base in Glasgow and taking the trailer to Immingham dock. Due to the long distance nature of the work, the driver would need to accept being out all week, with some parking at Truckstops, some at our customer's Glasgow base and some remote parking if in North of Scotland.
Most of the trailers are curtain siders but there is occasional fridge work.
The driver will be responsible for pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and equipment, planning the route for the job, adhering to legal driving hours and keeping the truck clean and tidy- it will be his/her "home" for the week.
