Personal Assistant for a person with physical & mental health needs.Part time - set 30 hours/week - £15.60/hr. Additional hours may occasionally be required to cover holiday.We are a small team that provide high-quality support for an individual with physical and mental learning disabilities, enabling her to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in her own home.Support focuses on:* Personal care* Health and medical needs* Daily living activities, including personal care, cooking, social activities, providing engaging activities at home.* Ensure the home environment is clean, safe, and comfortable.Key Responsibilities:* Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and health protocols.* Assist with personal hygiene, and dressing.* Support with medication* Promote independence and choice wherever possible.* Encourage individual to engage in preferred activities and community outings* Record health information, behaviour patterns and report concerns promptly to the Team Leader.1.Behavioral & Emotional Support* Provide reassurance and calming strategies when the person experiences anxiety or distress.* Recognise behavioural cues and respond appropriately using positive behaviour support techniques.* Encourage engagement in preferred activities.2. Communication & Engagement* Use knowledge of clients verbal communication and behavioural cues to meet her needs.* Support social inclusion and community access, while managing risks and triggers.* Promote dignity, respect, and choice at all times.3. Safeguarding & Legal Compliance* Work in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Equality Act 2010.* Safeguard the individual from harm, abuse, or neglect.* Maintain confidentiality4. Record Keeping* Maintain accurate daily notes, medication records, and incident reports.* Ensure risk assessments and care plans are followed and updated as directed.Key Responsibilities* Meal Preparation* Personal Care* Domestic Care* Social + Leisure activities* Support to remain independentThe right candidate will have experience in care with mental health.Must hold a UK drivers licenseMust be female, as dealing with a female client.
