Summary

Our client, an award-winning vehicle accident repair centre based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, is seeking a skilled Vehicle MET/Strip Fit Technician to join their highly reputable team. Benefits:

- Salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependant on experience and qualifications

- Performance-related bonus with uncapped on-target earnings around £45,000 per annum

- 40-hour week, Monday to Friday; no weekends required

Duties as a MET Technician will include:

- Accurately and efficiently remove and replace mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles

- Identify hidden damage post-strip and collaborate with colleagues to compile parts and labour lists

- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and company standards

- Perform repairs safely, maintaining high quality standards

- Support collision repairs by assisting with structural and cosmetic repairs as required

- Liaise with team members to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

- Support ongoing vehicle repair processes by maintaining a safe and productive working environment

Requirements:

- Recognised qualification in automotive MET or vehicle body repair; qualified Vehicle Technician candidates are also encouraged

- Additional qualifications in electric/hybrid vehicle technology are highly advantageous

- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, assisting colleagues when needed

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards

- UK driving licence with minimal points

- Previous experience in vehicle body repair or MET work within a collision repair environment
