Summary
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in EYFS?
Do you have experience providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and learning difficulties?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Derby. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a part-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 12:30pm. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for an EYFS pupil with SEN and learning difficulties, helping them access classroom activities, follow routines and develop their confidence and independence.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience supporting children within EYFS
• Experience providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN or learning difficulties
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
