Summary

Manage patients from the Navy, Army and RAF that present with musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and deliver appropriate exercise rehabilitation to return serving personnel to full fitness and maximise operational effectiveness. Perform appropriate clinical assessments and design and implement safe and progressive exercise treatment programmes for patients in accordance with the ERI Standards of Proficiency to Practice. Keep a record of all specific treatments given including individual patient programme exercises and group therapy sessions. Delivering group-based exercise therapy sessions (up to a max of 15 patients) to restore normal function in co-ordination, balance, posture, walking/running re-education, lifting and carrying, mobilisation and strengthening, recreational therapy and pool-based rehab/fitness sessions. Work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team provide a comprehensive and professional rehab service. Develop good working relationships and work collaboratively with managers and members of the multi-disciplinary team. Adhere and contribute to all aspects of clinical governance and assurance. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for treatment, good understanding of their condition and treatment plan. To communicate complex information clearly through presentations and in writing to patients and other members of the MDT.
