Location: Mobile role covering King Edward VI Academy Trust (KEVIAT) Schools across the Birmingham area
Pay: £16.50 per hour
(Business mileage reimbursed at
45p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles
, then
25p per mile
thereafter)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm (flexibility required with start and finish times to support business needs)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as regular travel between schools forms a key part of this role.

About the Role
As a
Mobile
Catering
Manager, you’ll provide hands-on support across
KEVIAT Schools in Birmingham, helping catering teams deliver excellent service while maintaining strong standards of food safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
You’ll work closely with school teams and Sodexo colleagues to support daily operations, provide leadership, share best practice, and help ensure each site runs smoothly.
This is a mobile role, so flexibility is important. While the usual working pattern is
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm, there may be occasions where start and finish times need to adjust to meet operational requirements.
What You’ll Do
Support catering operations across multiple KEVIAT school sites.
Provide leadership, guidance and support to catering teams.
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation and customer service.
Monitor food safety, health & safety and allergen management standards.
Support stock control, ordering and cost management processes.
Assist with training, coaching and development of colleagues.
Provide operational support during periods of change, absence or increased demand.
Build positive relationships with school staff, pupils and Sodexo teams.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational standards.
Ensure compliance with Sodexo policies and client requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience managing or supervising catering operations, ideally within education, contract catering or a high-volume food service environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across different locations.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage priorities in a busy environment.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to complete).
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required
