Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor delivering maintenance frameworks, capital projects, and complex infrastructure schemes across the UK. Their expertise spans a diverse range of sectors, including bridge reconstruction, highways, tunnels, environmental infrastructure, and utility installations.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their busy pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on a varied portfolio of multidisciplinary civil engineering projects.

• Highways and Rail Infrastructure

• Underbridges, Overbridges and Footbridges

• Tunnels and Station Infrastructure

• Flood Alleviation and Repair Works

• Earthworks and Embankments

• Lineside Civils, Cabling, Trough Routes and Telecommunications Infrastructure

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of tenders and pre-contract activities across a range of civil engineering projects. Working closely with operational, commercial and supply chain teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates that support the companys continued success in securing new work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer tender documentation throughout the bid process.

• Prepare and coordinate tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.

• Present tender submissions and recommendations to senior management during tender review meetings.

• Liaise with the Supply Chain team to obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Carry out technical and commercial assessments of labour, plant, materials and temporary works requirements.

• Produce accurate take-offs from drawings and develop estimates from first principles.

• Prepare comprehensive tender submission documentation.

• Produce detailed estimating reports and bid analyses.

• Support proposal development and provide commercial assistance to contract management teams where required.
