As a SharePoint Specialist, you will help design and support modern collaboration, document management and automation solutions that enable teaching, research and professional services across one of the world's leading universities. Your expertise will directly influence how more than 50,000 staff and students share knowledge, collaborate and work more effectively every day.
Working within our SharePoint Solutions Team, you'll enjoy a varied role combining consultancy, solution design, service improvement and user engagement. This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns, i.e. compressed hours or staggered start/finish time. This role offers a hybrid working pattern, with weekly anchor days worked on campus in Edinburgh and flexibility to work from home if wanted on other days.
What the job involves:
Provide advice and consultancy to support our users across the University and advise users on best practice.
Service support and delivery: anticipate, identify and investigate potential issues that could impact the service.
Call queue management: dealing with active requests and incidents relating to the service.
Documentation and user engagement
We are looking for someone with:
Substantial knowledge of SharePoint online, Power Platform and related M365 applications and a strong understanding of the platform capabilities
Good technical knowledge of Microsoft tenancy administration
Excellent customer service, customer facing skills and enthusiasm for making things better for our users. You’ll be working with our stakeholders and users to help us identify the changes and improvements that are needed.
