To deliver high-quality, engaging programmes in English, mathematics and ICT from entry level through to Level 2. The primary objective is to support learners in developing their literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills by providing comprehensive teaching, learning, guidance, and support. The tutor will play a key role in helping learners achieve their educational goals and improve their English, mathematics and ICT proficiency. This role is based in Bolton, with delivery also taking place across Greater Manchester and/or remotely as required.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with curriculum requirements and individual learner needs.
Assess learners’ English, mathematics and digital abilities, identifying areas for improvement and tailoring teaching methods accordingly.
Develop and deliver engaging and interactive sessions using a variety of teaching techniques and resources to enhance learner understanding and engagement.
Provide individualised support to learners, addressing specific learning needs through one-on-one meetings and additional learning resources.
Monitor and track learners' progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness.
Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in English, mathematics and ICT.
Communicate regularly with learners, employers, and relevant stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address concerns.
Stay up to date with developments in English, mathematics and digital education, curriculum changes, and teaching methodologies to continuously improve teaching standards.
