Summary

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Female Carer Drivers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in North and South Devon. This role involves supporting clients in their own homes and within the community, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. As travelling between clients' homes is an essential part of the role, applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Support with personal care, including assistance with showering/strip washes, dressing, toileting, and mobility while promoting dignity, respect, and independence.

Support clients with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures.

Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration where required.

Help with light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

Escort or drive clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, and activities that support community access and independent living, as required.

Build good relationships with clients while supporting their independence, dignity, and personal choices.

Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being.

Provide compassionate care for individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other complex care needs.

Maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.

Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid when required.

Essential Requirements

Female applicants only

Full UK driving licence.

Access to a vehicle is preferred.

Based in North or South Devon, or willing to relocate.

Previous care experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
