Summary
Kiniths House is a small, friendly residential care home supporting adults with learning disabilities. We are looking to recruit a compassionate, reliable and motivated individual to join our dedicated night team.
We are recruiting for an additional either a Night Shift Leader or a Night Care Assistant to join our friendly team, depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
As part of our night team, you will help ensure that the people we support remain safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout the night while promoting dignity, independence and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.
* Supporting residents with personal care where required.
* Completing regular welfare and safety checks.
* Administering medication (where trained and competent).
* Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
* Responding appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
* Promoting independence, choice and dignity.
* Carrying out light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Working closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
Additional Responsibilities (Night Shift Leader)
* Leading the night team during each shift.
* Supporting and supervising other staff members.
* Making appropriate decisions in the absence of senior management.
* Ensuring policies, procedures and regulatory standards are followed.
* Providing clear handovers to the day team.

* Calm under pressure and able to use initiative.
* A good communicator with strong teamwork skills.
* Committed to delivering outstanding care.
Essential
* Good written and verbal English.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to undertake training.
Desirable
* Previous experience in adult social care.
* Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
* Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
* Medication training.
* Leadership or senior care experience (for Night Shift Leader applicants).
