We are seeking an ambitious, inspirational and forward-thinking Lecturer in Thermofluids (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to join our thriving Mechanical Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of engineers while contributing to innovative research and industry engagement in one of the UK's most applied and student-focused engineering environments. You will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging, inclusive and research-informed teaching across thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and, most notably, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Working with industry-standard simulation and modelling tools, you will help students develop advanced analytical, modelling and digital engineering skills that are highly sought after by employers.
Beyond teaching, you will have the opportunity to shape and enhance our curriculum, supervise student projects, and contribute to an exciting portfolio of applied research, innovation and knowledge exchange activities. We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about using CFD and digital engineering technologies to address complex challenges in fluid flow, thermal management, sustainable energy systems, and engineering design.
