Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and company standards.
• Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
• Assist in planning and developing menus, including seasonal specials and new dishes.
• Oversee food preparation activities and ensure efficient kitchen operations during service.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, stocks, and accompaniments as required.
• Monitor portion control and minimise food wastage.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation throughout the kitchen.
• Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Comply with all food hygiene, allergen, health and safety, and company policies.
• Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff when required.
• Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and reporting any maintenance issues.
