Care Assistant (nights) Maternity Cover - Grove Court Care Home

Hourly Rate: £13.45 - £14.08 per hour

Contract: Full-time, 36.75 hours per week, maternity cover position for up to 12 months. The contract will end upon the return of the substantive postholder from maternity leave and may therefore be shorter or longer than 12 months.

Shifts: 12.25 hour shift, including weekends.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to deliver high‑quality, personal care needs of residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. Working alongside our clinical and senior care teams, you’ll help create a safe, engaging and comfortable environment where residents can thrive.

What you'll do

Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, documenting accurately.

Report any changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly to senior staff.

Support residents with social activities, routines, and meaningful engagement.

Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment and ensure equipment is used/stored safely.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies; take responsibility for ongoing learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills

Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.

Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).

Experience caring for older people.

Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.
