An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Worker to join our Crisis Response Team.

Crisis Response is a 24-hour service which works directly in partnership with West Lothian Careline providing specialist assistance for individuals who are at risk of falling or who have had a fall.

Assistance will be provided to those who have fallen and are uninjured to maximise independence and minimise risk of falling in the future.

Where required, staff will use specialist lifting equipment to assist up from the floor and carry out a fall's assessment. Referrals to other services may be made.

The service also responds to telecare alerts where there is a no response and will also provide short term supports to prevent hospital admission and support early discharge

You will need to enjoy working with people, have empathy, and like a working environment which is fast paced with no two days the same. You will also need to want to be part of a team who are committed to providing good quality care in people’s homes.

A full driving licence is required.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have three months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
